Special Assembly On World Health Day

“The greatest gift you can give your family and the world is a healthy you.”

World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7th April, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO). The World Health Day is held to mark WHO’s founding and is seen as an opportunity by the organization to draw worldwide attention to a subject of major importance to global health each year.

Raising awareness about physical health and mental wellbeing, and various measures to combat global health challenges, Guru Nanak Modern School celebrated World Health Day on 8th April, 2022.

Capturing the theme of 2024 given by the World Health Organization ‘My Health, My Right’, the students of classes VIII A enthusiastically demonstrated how taking healthy food , doing regular exercise etc. will help us in maintaining good health, thereby making the world a fairer and healthier place to live in.

An interesting quiz on World Health Day was also conducted by the students. Winners of this quiz were awarded with healthy rewards.

The assembly fulfilled its objective of developing a deep understanding of the essential link between individual and collective health for a sustainable life.
