World Nature Conservation Day

To promote World Nature Conservation Day, Guru Nanak Modern School, Kalyanpur organised a Poster Making Competition for students of grade 9 to 12. The activity was conducted in two categories i.e.

Category 1– Grade 9 & 10

Category 2- Grade 11 & 12

The students were given several topics such as-

  • Energy Conservation
  • Noise pollution
  • Climate change
  • Hydroelectric power

The aim was to propogate the awareness of importance of nurturing the nature for a promising and better future. Making this event successful, the students participated enthusiastically and showcased their perceptions through their creativity and variations of colours. All the students gave a tough competition to each other. After keenly observing the detailing posters, the top three winners were declared which are as follows-

Category 1

Nikhil Sharma (Class 10 C) – 1st position

Aditi Srivastava (Class 9 B) – 2nd position

Shivani (Class 9 C) – 3rd position

Category 2

Lucky Verma (Class 12 C) – 1st position

Himanshi (Class 12 C) – 2nd position

Preksha (Class 11 A) – 3rd position

The Principal, Mr. Balwinder Singh congratulated the winners and appreciated their hard work and efforts. He also encouraged them to adopt eco-friendly measures to conserve various life forms on the Earth.
