हिंदी

English

HOD English

English is the language of Science, Aviation, Computers, Diplomacy and Tourism. It is also the language of International Communication, the Media and the Internet. So it is very valuable to learn English as it creates many opportunities.

The English Department of G.N.M.S. always aims to make the students able to think and speak in English accurately. They should be able to compose freely and independently in speech and writing.

We also develop the ability to read, understand and reflect on texts from different perspectives in students.

With all these abilities we believe that students gain insight, develop a sense of understanding and toleration and experience new perspectives.

Science

HOD Science

The important thing in science is not so much to obtain new facts as to discover new ways of thinking about them” – Sir William Osler.
Science is the systematic classification of experience. It is necessary for the students of this generation to be aware of the missed bullets of the experiments of the older generations. We cannot turn our time to the reverse direction and rearrange everything. The teachers and students of Guru Nanak Modern School have always been interested in developing a new scientific logic system. They keep experimenting, making projects, designing quizzes and organizing exhibitions.

    • PHYSICS:- Physics is characterized by the study of science that deals with matter and energy, and their interactions. We the teachers in G.N.M.S. develop the habit in the students for learning the concepts through practical approach.
    • CHEMISTRY :- Chemistry is the study of chemicals and the elements and their effects and attributes. The subject of chemistry is a very practical based subject, meaning most of class time is spent working or completing experiments.
    • BIOLOGY:- Biology is characterized by the study of structure, function, heredity, and evolution of all living organisms. Biology itself is the study of living organisms. We always encourage our students to increase understanding of living systems and to allow them to consider the systems in relationship to the self and other organisms in the natural environment. An advantage of biology subject is the application of theory to the real world.

Commerce

HOD Commerce

“Commerce changes the fate and genius of nations.” – Thomas Gray

“Arts keeps us connected to the past, Science takes us to the future, But Commerce takes care of our present needs.”
Guru Nanak Modern School strives to carve out a niche in the specialized field by providing contextually relevant commerce education and preparing students for higher education in Economics, Accountancy and Business Studies.
Our Commerce department equips students with specialised skills that come useful in tackling problems in different functional areas of commerce, industry and trade.
We believe in the comprehensive development of the students. We work with a view to provide a package full of opportunities to those who have a ravenous appetite for brilliance.

  • Business Studies:- Business Studies is a broad subject in the Commerce, allowing the in-depth study of a range of specialties such as accountancy, finance, organisation, human resources management and marketing. Business Studies helps us to make more informed decisions in the everyday business of living. It gives us a better understanding of the world of work.
We help young people understand the dynamic environment in which businesses operate and develop the skills they’ll need for everyday life. Students at our institute are taught by highly skilled and experienced teachers who guide them to understand and evaluate things properly. We strive to develop a sense of entrepreneurship among our students.
  • Economics:- “Economics is the art to meet unlimited needs with scarce resources.”
The ultimate purpose of Economics, is to understand and promote the enhancement of well-being.GNMS provides a strong foundation in economic theory and quantitative tools of economic analysis. The Department has its distinctive ethos where the faculty continually strives to walk as co-learners with the students on the path of knowledge building. The Department’s continuous emphasis on the understanding of the principles of Economics within a multidisciplinary framework has been a great motivator to its students to pursue their dreams and aspirations infused with a people-centric approach.
  • Accountancy:- Accountancy as a subject has been one of the most important subjects to be taught as it is a foundational element of business, linked to provide control, stability, and accountability to a company’s finances. Accountancy is considered as the backbone of a business. Its role is to track a company’s finances in their numerous forms, from credits, debits, and profitability to payroll and tax filing.
Accountancy as a subject at our institute is taught by skilled and professional teachers.
Quality and methods of teaching are fantastic and are among the best in the city.
Teachers provide students a great help in understanding things and virtual ways to keep up to the subject. The teachers often mix theory with practice (the why and the how) and indicate the contact of the course with non-accounting courses giving proper examples theoretically and practically.

Computer

HOD Computer

Computer Science is deeply concerned with how computers and computer systems work, and how they are designed and programmed. We strive to develop the notion of computational thinking in our students : a mode of thought that goes well beyond software and hardware, and that provides a framework within which to reason about systems and problems. Computational thinking influences fields such as biology, chemistry, linguistics, psychology, economics and statistics. It allows the students to solve problems, design systems and understand the power and limits of human and machine intelligence. It is a skill that empowers, and that all pupils should be aware of and have some competence in.

Computer Science is a discipline of Education that enhances pupils’ lives as well as their life skills. By using it we prepare young people for a world that doesn’t yet exist, involving technologies that have not yet been invented, and that present technical and ethical challenges of which we are not yet aware.

Social Science

HOD Social Science

“It’s not rocket science. It’s Social Science – the science of understanding people’s needs and their unique relationship with art, literature, history, music, work, philosophy, community, technology and psychology. The act of design is structuring and creating that balance.”

We value innovative learning experiences that will enable our students to develop broad, tolerant, and cosmopolitan perspectives so that they will be better prepared to function in a diverse, demanding, and global society.
Social Science inspires and empowers the students to become innovative leaders and engaged citizens who contribute to the success of organisations and betterment of communities.

General Knowledge

HOD General Knowledge

“General Knowledge is the king of all knowledge.”

General knowledge can be defined as culturally valued knowledge about any particular topic relating to the social interest of a society, culture, civilization, community or a country, which may or may not be a part of his academic studies.
In an increasingly interconnected world it is prudent for students to gather as much knowledge as they can of the world, so that when needed they can tap into that area. In our school we seek to open gateways of students’ thinking and take it to a level from where the whole world seems to be a better place.
We may start to talk to any person on any topic, but our knowledge is something that determines our conversation and our impression on the other person, a good knowledge of everything around always impress the people around us. We always help our learners to grow both on personal as well as academic level. We try to develop their sense of perceiving the world, analysing and understanding the situations better.
